What a Tree!!

This tree in town just took my breath away. I've not a clue what it's name is, but you can bet I'll be finding out.

As each little dancer finished, they came forward and bowed to the crowd and leaped high in the air.

Grandma's got a brand new bag

I've got five new tote bags knit so far this month. My goal is to be able to have enough by months end to actually be able to shop 'green' without using any plastic.

Sun Play

We finally got a bright enough day to play with some lens flares. The moss covered roof at the McKinley access of the Illinois & Michigan Canal seemed to just drink up the morning sun

Three Notes of Spring

When spring begins to play its symphony, you can begin to see it's sheet music everywhere.

One of my favorite quotes is....... "Grandma's are just Antique Little Girls". This seems to bear that out!

All the Pretty Ponies

I'm not sure this is what Kenny Logins had in mind!! While on a drive last weekend we had to back up to get a photo of this unusual sight on rte. 24 west of Fairbury, IL. According to one of the local I asked this line of old riding horses began many years ago with just one sitting atop what he thought was a field marker. Over the years people have continued to add to the collection and the row of parading steeds has grown in number. I was told they plow and plant around the parade of pretty ponies and that the sight seemed pretty normal to him. LOL I quote, "Well folks just bring their old horses here when they are through with them". I have to admit, I wished I had one to add! ............. Here's your sign!!

Smoke Line

You know spring is right around the corner when the farmers start burning off the ditch's in the country. The breeze was moving the smoke in line just above the fields creating a line of smoke that looked like fog.

When the moon rises just right..

and you squint out of your left eye, while standing on a small box and whistle the entire National Anthem backwards ............ then you might see all my images ranked this way in Flicker's illusive Explorer section. This Explore is a way of recording some of the most interesting images of the day based on a mathematical equation that would defy Newton himself. Thanks to my friend Lapstrake for pointing out what might be a one day a year bit of fun!! But for today at least.... all my pictures have ranked. Got to love April Fools day!!
